Data Storage Sets

YourWelcome users can create multiple Data Storage Sets that can be assigned to groups of your properties accordingly (for instance if you manage properties across different US states or different European regions where you are required to store data differently between those regions, you may need different storage sets to cover those rules). Most people only require one data storage set that covers all of their properties but the option to segment is there.

Start by creating and naming your Storage Set.

Within each Data Storage Set, you can add a list of individual data points that you collect and store. Each data point contains 3 fields:

• Header: What you are capturing.
• Storage Length: The length of time that you plan to store this data, before it is destroyed.
• Description: Why you are collecting this information.

The fields of each data set will be presented to your guests, so all of the fields can be translated in to different languages based on your text and translations settings. Read more about that here.

You can add an unlimited number of data points per data set but we recommend keeping this succinct.

Once you’ve added all the data points, you can choose which properties the data set applies to. A single property CANNOT be assigned more than 1 data set so be aware the selection tool will not allow you to pick groups or individual properties where a property is already in another group.
