Rental Agreements

Adding A New Rental Agreement

A Rental Agreement can be configured for individual properties or groups of properties. Most people only require a single Rental Agreement for all their properties but there are instances where  a subset of your property portfolio may require different terms. An example of this may be because the facilities vary (ie those with a swimming pool may require different terms and liability waivers to properties without pools).

To create a Rental Agreement, click the New Agreement button in the top right:

Give your Rental Agreement a title – if you have multiple agreements you can use the name to differentiate. The name is for internal use only and is not shown to the guest.

Agreement Types

Rental Agreements can be copied and pasted (or typed) in to the dashboard as Text, or otherwise linked out to a URL for viewing on your own website or other webpage. Choose your Rental Agreement type by selecting URL or Text.

Acceptance Method

You can specify the ‘Acceptance method’ for each Rental Agreement. These include options for the guest to proceed by clicking on a tickbox to confirm they agree, or by adding their digital signature / initials on a YourWelcome Tablet or via their own smartphone / computer trackpad. Choosing the signature method presents an option to insert in to the agreement text box where you would like the initials and/or signature boxes to appear. Move your cursor to the position within the text box and click to insert what data you would like in that position. You can insert multiple of each type in a single rental agreement if required (thus a guest can initial each of your bullet points as well as sign OR just add a single signature at the bottom of the agreement). Rental Agreements are not compulsory and choosing whether to have one and which method of acceptance you choose comes down to the legal requirements in the region in which your property is situated. YourWelcome are not able to advise on what is best for your business as we simply provide the tools to capture the info from your guests if required.

What does my guest see?

When the guest is viewing the rental agreement, if you opted for the digital signature / initials method (over the simple tickbox) your guest must first create a digital signature and initials. They must confirm they legally adopt these option and then tap to insert their digital signature and/or initials where you placed your options.
