Completing Tasks

Task Completion Types

💡  Any combination of the following completion types may be used. It’s highly unlikely all will be used at once!

Some tasks require more than just a tick to complete. Completion types are always in a grey box below the task. Types include:

  1. Tick box
  2. Yes or No
  3. Multiple choice answer
  4. Assignee to leave Comment (free text)
  5. Assignee to upload mandatory photo of completed task
  6. Rating out of 5
  7. Rating out of 10
  8. Insert Date
  9. Insert Time
  10. Insert Number

TICK BOX

This is the default and most tasks are likely to require a simple tap to tick to show completion.

YES OR NO

These are self explanatory and you simply need to tap the answer that is appropriate to the task you’re completing.

MULTIPLE CHOICE ANSWER

Your task assigner will have written a specific question with a number of options as answers. Just tap to select the answer that is most appropriate to the task you’re completing.

COMMENT

Some tasks need a comment to be submitted which acts as a confirmation. If this is the case, just tap in the comment field which will launch the keyboard and type your answer.

IMAGE

You may need to upload an image as proof of completion, if required tap the ‘+ Image’ button and choose to take a photo with your device camera or from the camera roll.

A preview of the image will be shown with the option to add a comment (if needed).

Once submitted a small thumbnail of the image will be displayed (highlighting whether there is a comment) and you can click the X in the top right corner of the preview to remove the image.

RATING

Your task assigner may need a rating for how the task went, these are either out of 5 or out of 10.

The number of stars are shown at outlines, working left to right, just tap the number you would rate the response, so for a response of 3 out of 5, tap the 3rd star from the left.  Once tapped the stars turn dark indicating the rating.

DATE

You may need to answer a task with a date. Simply tap inside the field and select the date appropriate to the task.

TIME

Inserting a time may be required to complete your task. Tap the field and type your numbers in. As some companies use 24hour clocks as opposed to 12hour clocks you will need to select AM for morning or PM for afternoon.

NUMBER

If a number is required to complete a task just tap in the field and use the numerical keyboard to type the number that answers the question.

COMPLETION

Once all tasks are complete a summary card will be displayed showing any completion comments from your task assigner.

Once a task list is completed a report is sent to your task assigner informing them the task is done. If you want to edit a task (or change a completion type response) be aware that an updated report will be triggered, so to avoid multiple reports going out, ensure you’re happy with prior tasks on the list before submitting completion of the final task.

In addition if your task assigner has opted to track costs on tasks, when you’ve completed all tasks in a tasklist you have the option to add costs if you have not done so already.
