Viewing & Adding Issues

When working on tasks, there are often reasons why a task cannot be completed to its usual standard. This could be due to problems in a property or external factors.

Within a chosen task there is a button to View and Add Issues.

Added issues get reported back to your task assigner just like Comments but an Issue is reported back in the form of a Task for them to help resolve. The task assigner will then have their own task to follow up on which may involve creating a new task (for you or other assignees) to resolve the issues.

When inside the ‘View/Add Issue(s)’ the number of issues reported is displayed in the top row in brackets (if there are any).

Issues are displayed in date and time order with the oldest issue at the top. Issues can optionally include photographs if needed to better explain the item. Each issue also includes a priority status badge.

To edit an existing issue simply tap the small pencil icon in the top right of an issue card. To add a new issue select the ‘New Issue’ button at the bottom of the screen.

ADDING A NEW ISSUE

The top dropdown allows you to add a priority status. Tap to see the options and choose the one most applicable to the issue.

Your task assignee will receive a notification when submitted so the status you choose here will allow them to prioritise.

Next tap in the Issue Title field and type a brief title that explains the issue in a few words. Then add a full description in the next field.

If you want to add an image to the issue tap the ‘+ Image’ button.

Choose whether to add an existing photograph from your device camera roll or choose to launch the camera and take a photo.

If the issue relates to a specific task in the chosen task list you can optionally click the ‘Link to an existing task’ dropdown which will display all the tasks and you can choose which one it links to. If you chose to add an issue directly from a chosen task this will be pre-filled with the task you’re in, however this can be changed if needed. Linking to an issue may help your task assigner to better understand the issue and thus how to resolve it.
